Amerock Cabinet Knobs for Kids!
When I first made the decision to open an afterschool art program, I wanted everything, and I mean everything to look exactly how I wanted. I didn’t want to take any shortcuts or later be dissatisfied with a decision I had made. Now, opening an art school is no easy task. If it isn’t ordering tons and tons of construction paper or paint, it’s ordering children’s furniture or chemical-free cleaning supplies. After my huge shipment of art supplies came in and neatly sat in their wooden cabinets, I had a really big problem. The cabinets I ordered did not come with any hardware knobs and pulls. Upon visiting my friend for some business down-time, I saw the cutest Amerock cabinet pull in her kitchen, it was shaped like a zebra. Apparently her house that she recently purchased came with it and she simply couldn’t part with it.
Amerock cabinet knobs come in many children’s series, with everything from a sports zoo animals. I couldn’t think of anything better than having animal and football cabinet knobs in my art school. Now when my students are retrieving supplies, they associate certain supplies with certain animals. The soccer ball cabinet has cotton balls, the ladybug with glitter, the monkey with glue, etc. Couldn’t be happier with this decision.
