Schaub Hardware Transforms Your Kitchen Into A French Farmhouse

Schaub hardware is the first step toward turning your kitchen into a French farmhouse kitchen. Their French Farm collection comes in shades of Ancient Bronze and Antique Nickel. Each knob or pull has the small flourishes you’d expect to see on drawers in Provence.

Next, dried lavender. No French farmhouse is missing dried lavender. Hang it upside down from a ceiling rafter, as if you had picked it in your own fields and were just now drying it.

While, you’re up there, hang some garlic wreathes, too! And herb bundles of various sorts, but especially rosemary and thyme.

Now, what happens when you tug on a drawer pull from the Schaub hardware line? What is revealed when the drawer is open? Well, think like a French farmer. Good, sharp knives are essential. Maybe some antique silverware. An oyster knife, for when family comes back from a day trip to Marseilles? And most importantly: a corkscrew!

Make sure that your windowsills are decorated with cobalt glass and small Provencal pottery bowls!

On the counter, you’ll want to keep a small bowl of fleur-du-sel, the “flower of the salt” that is equivalent to the cream on fresh milk, raked early in the morning by salt farmers in islands like Il-de-Re.

You could start with any of these elements, but to set the tone, our suggestion is Schaub hardware.
